CHAPTER THREE HUNDRED AND FIVE – SILVA’S SACRIFICE
As they moved silently through the twilight forest, Jasmine felt a mix of fear and determination coursing through her veins. Whatever happened next, she knew one thing for certain: their lives would never be the same again.
The forest was alive with danger. Twigs snapped underfoot as Silva and Jasmine raced through the underbrush, their lungs burning with each desperate breath. The crack of gunfire echoed through the trees, bullets splintering bark mere inches from their heads.
"Keep moving!" Silva shouted, pulling Jasmine along as she stumbled over a root.
They burst through a thicket, thorns tearing at their clothes, and found themselves facing a sheer cliff drop. The ground fell away before them, a dizzying descent into a mist-shrouded valley below.
"No," Jasmine gasped, her heart sinking. "We're trapped."
Silva's eyes darted around, assessing their situation with lightning speed. The sounds of pursuit grew closer, shouts and crashing footsteps heralding the approach of Collins
