Mara's heels clicked against the sidewalk as she hurried through the bustling streets of Manhattan. The crisp autumn air nipped at her cheeks, a stark contrast to the warmth of the coffee shop she'd just left. As she rounded the corner, she nearly collided with a familiar figure.
"Clarissa?" Mara blinked, taken aback by the sight before her.
