CHAPTER 11: THE WAIT

It was late in the evening when I decided to check in with the secretary about Oslin's whereabouts. I knew he was one to be caught up on his busy schedules, but I never knew him to be one to stay out for so long.
"I'm sorry, but we have yet to hear from Dr Oslin. You could wait a while we make some calls. Sorry for keeping you waiting," the secretary at the counter said.
"But I've been here long enough; I've spent my whole day here", I added, my voice strained from the day's stress.
The secretary placed her hands on mine, " we understand, sir; it's also strange that we haven't heard from him; I'll do well to call him," the secretary said with a comforting tone.
I couldn't go back to the restaurant as it was getting late, so I hung around the hospital while I waited for feedback. The hospital was always busy with many patients dropping in and out and emergency victims.
After an hour, I returned to the counter to find out how things were progressing. I hoped he was somewhere
