Chapter 19 Date
After saying that, Olivia wanted to bypass Nancy and enter the ward.
However, Nancy reached out and blocked her path, saying, "Olivia, why don't you just go and meet him first? Consider it for the sake of your mother."
Nancy's tone was full of threats.
At the same time, the vice dean spoke up, "Miss Hall, your mother needs a very special medicine, but it is suddenly out of stock at this hospital. So why don’t you come up with a solution yourself?”
Hearing this, Olivia trembled with anger while biting her lip tightly.
She never expected these people would use her mother's life as a bargaining chip.
After a long silence, Olivia's voice trembled as she said, "Fine, I'll go."
Nancy's face immediately lit up with a smile, and she handed Olivia a business card while saying, "You can meet him at Blue Mountain Cafe at ten tomorrow morning. If you like him, hurry up and set a date to marry him. Stop keep messing around with Rosa’s fiancé”
Rosa's gaze fell on Olivia's face with a hint of smugness.
After taking the card, Olivia's voice was cold as she replied, "Okay, I got it."
Glancing at the card, she saw it was from the CEO of a construction company, surnamed Baker.
She walked to her mother's bedside, unable to hold back her tears that fell like broken beads.
Seeing this, Haley quickly asked, "What's wrong, Olivia? Did anyone bully you?"
"I'm fine, Mom..."
Olivia hugged her mother, feeling incredibly upset. She had thought that with the help of Alex, she could find a stable job and start earning money to support her mother.
But now everything had changed, and she felt like she was losing control of her life again.
"Just now Nancy came to see me." Haley's face was full of smiles as she spoke to Olivia.
“Really?” Olivia replied, but she didn't dare to tell her mother that she had actually been paying for her medical expenses herself these past few months.
"Olivia, did something happen to you?"
Although Olivia told her mother she was fine, Haley still didn't believe her words.
Seeing her daughter's teary eyes, Haley was very worried.
"Mom, I'm really fine. I came here today to tell you that I found an internship, so I can start earning money to support you in the future..."
Upon hearing this, Haley's face lit up with a smile, but she also felt guilty and regretful.
If it weren't for her, her daughter could have continued her studies. She could have pursued a master's degree or even a doctorate...
As soon as Rosa and Nancy left the hospital, she immediately urged, "Mom, you must find a way to get Olivia married soon. Otherwise, Oliver can't seem to forget about her."
Continuing with anger, Rosa added, "Mom, you know what's even more infuriating? Oliver even managed to get Olivia an internship at Adams Corporation."
Upon hearing this, Nancy hurriedly comforted, "Rosa, don't worry. Mom will take care of everything for you."
Rosa obediently nodded and didn't say anything else.
Suddenly, she glanced into the distance and saw Alex's assistant sitting in a car, seemingly waiting for someone.
She pulled Nancy's hand and said, "Mom, look, it's the car from the Adams family. Is it a coincidence for it to be here?”
Then Rosa seemed to remember something and added. "Mom, do you think that car is waiting for Olivia?"
Nancy patted her shoulder and comforted, "Rosa, don't overthink it. With someone like Olivia, she'll never be able to be associated with the Adams family. There’s no way someone like Alex Adams will pay attention to her.”
"That’s true." Rosa felt that her mother's words made a lot of sense.
In the hospital room, Olivia sat on a chair and handed a cup of drink to her mother, saying, "Mom, how is the caregiver I arranged this time?"
"She's pretty good," Haley said with satisfaction.
Then she asked, "It must have cost quite a bit, right?"
"Yeah," Olivia nodded and continued, "It's okay, Mom, the expenses are all covered by Dad."
Hearing this, Nancy was somewhat surprised.
She asked, "Is your dad very busy lately?"
Olivia shook her head without saying a word.
She didn't know what her dad was up to these days. She hadn't been home for a long time.
Seeing this, Haley felt a little disappointed.
Since her car accident, Toby had never come to the hospital to see her. After their divorce, he transferred all of her shares in the Hall Group and said he would take care of her and their daughter in the future.
Olivia chatted with Haley for a while, then said, "Mom, I'll go now. I have to work tomorrow. You should get some rest."
"Yeah, you go ahead." Haley looked reluctant, but she also knew she couldn't let her daughter stay by her side all the time.
After Olivia left the hospital and got into the car, her eyes turned red. She quickly looked out the window, trying not to make any sound.
To be honest, she felt deeply distressed for her mother.
"Miss Hall, are you having some trouble?" Seeing Olivia's expression through the rearview mirror, Milo asked with concern.
"It's nothing," Olivia replied.
She wiped away her tears and continued to gaze at the city outside the window, trying to forget about the heartache.
When Olivia returned to the villa, Alex was not there.
She quickly tidied up and went back to her room to rest.
Lying on the bed, she thought about her mother's experiences over the years, which were full of twists and turns.
Finally, she fell asleep in a daze around three in the morning.
She had a long dream. In the dream, her mother didn't have an accident, nor did she divorce her father. The three of them lived happily together.
Everything was so beautiful.
When she woke up, she found her pillow wet with tears.
"Miss Hall, it's time to get up for breakfast."
Ruby's voice came from outside the door.
"Okay."
Olivia responded and quickly got up, tidying herself before heading to the dining room for breakfast.
Seeing that she was running a bit late, Olivia said to Ruby, "I'm in a hurry, just give me some bread."
After that, she took the bread handed to her by Ruby and walked out.
A maid sneered, "What's with the act? How can she be in a hurry since Mr. Adams is supporting her? She's really cunning."
Ruby glanced at her and said disapprovingly, "Shut up. You don’t get to gossip about her."

A driver drove Olivia to the company. When they were near the company, she asked the driver to drop her somewhere so she could walk there.
She didn't want anyone to suspect anything.
At that moment, Jillian walked over.
She asked, "Olivia, I didn't have a chance to ask you about yesterday. Are you and Mr. Adams really just alumni?"
Olivia paused for a moment before replying to Jillian while looking straight at her face, "Have you ever heard the saying that curiosity killed the cat?"
With that, she continued walking inside.
Just as the two were about to enter the elevator, Alex approached with his assistant.
