"Amelia," Mrs. Barlow called from the kitchen.
"Yes, mum." I replied, getting up from my bed and moving out of the bedroom. "Here I am." I said as I got to the kitchen.
She paused what she was doing and turned her neck back to stare at me. "Oh, here you are." She frowned as she stared at me. "You are still in your PJs? Oh! You can't go in that. Go and change and come back here."
"Are we going somewhere?" I asked.
After that day I came home late after escorting Natasha to the car park two weeks ago and came home late, she had taken me out and through all the routes in Middletown. My brain was a map of the small town right now.
She chuckled. "We aren't going anywhere but you are."
I tried to hide my frown, nervous about going out alone so early in the morning. "Okay." I didn't feel okay though.
"Do you remember the store I showed you the other day when we went out?" She asked.
"Mrs. Huckleberry's store?"
She beamed. "I love how smart you are."
