CHAPTER 111: A REKINDLED FRIENDSHIP
Jake's eyes narrowed as Samantha stepped out of the car in her precarious heels. "Careful," he muttered, offering his hand to help her out. "Can't let you break your pretty neck because of those shoes."
Samantha rolled her eyes, her gaze sparkling with amusement as she took his hand. "You're so dramatic," she said. She said.
"I'm not being dramatic," Jake replied wryly.
"Of course you're not," she teased, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
As they silently walked towards the hotel entrance, the sound of her heels clicking on the pavement filled the air; Jake rushed forward to push open the door, his eyes locked on Samantha's confident stride.
"I can't lie, though," he whispered, his breath tickling her ear as she brushed past him. "For things that give me so much anxiety, you look so damn good in them."
Samantha's cheeks flushed, and she cast him a sideways glance, her eyes shining with pleasure.
