Chapter 1711
Seeing Avery so clingy, Mason couldn't stop smiling, even as he cooked. He placed the food on the dining table, then looked at her and said softly, "Time to eat."
"Alright." Avery nodded, then looked up at him. "Mason, why are you so good to me?"
If other things he did could be seen as small favors, learning to cook was a big change.
Looking at her, Mason replied, "Do you think I'd be so nice to just anybody? Now eat."
He had never treated even himself this well, but he would do it for Avery.
After another gentle reminder to eat, Avery smiled and took her seat at the table.
Mason had made beef, sauerkraut fish, and stewed chicken soup. He was no expert at cooking, but he'd made a lot of effort to learn, just so he could make a good meal for Avery.
Tasting the soup Mason had made, Avery gave him a thumbs-up. "Mason, you're amazing. You've barely cooked a few times, but this is as good as a restaurant's."
