CHAPTER TWO

I woke up with the sun hitting my eyes as I frowned covering my eyes. I wasn't used to that yet. "Honey this came suddenly, we have to be at an event right now" "I do not want to go" I tried to avoid him while reaching for my stick like I still couldn't see. "why not ? you loved to go before. you loved to hear the crowd, now why did you suddenly lose interest?" I paused, there was no valid reason really. "I feel a little under the weather" "I'll have you go for a check up immediately we are back from the event" I bit my lip as a bitter smile appeared on my face. Of course he wouldn't let me get out of this. "okay then" I walked into the bath without asking for his help. I wanted him to have the sense that I could do things without him. "Should I help you get the soa-" "No need dear" I raised my hand to casually wave him off. He nodded going out but not closing the door and disgust ran through my blood. Is this how he always kept the door open to watch me have my bath? "Honey did you close the door?" "Oh, I forgot to" he walked over, watching me closely before finally shutting the door close. A sigh left my lips as I took my bath in peace. I knew what was going on in this conference, this wasn't the first. Time seemed to pass quickly and before I knew where I was, I was already in the car about to get out for the event. "They are here" someone yelled making the crowd turn around to see us. Never have I seen so many beautiful people. "Diana I am your biggest fan" someone yelled out while I tried to focus my eyes on the walking stick. "Just a few questions please" a media group asked but Thane didn't look like he was ready to entertain the little ones. "No, please move away, I do not like you crowding over my wife. Do not hurt her" he yelled protectively while a mocking smile appeared on my face. "He cares for her so much that it makes me wish I could find a husband like him" this word made me pause in my steps for a second before I continued walking like nothing happened. We finally entered the big place while I forced myself not to look up at the beautiful designs all around. "And for our guest of honor we have Mr and Mrs Smith" screams were heard immediately this was announced. We walked towards the seat we were meant to be and I sat slowly taking my hand out of Thane's. "Who likes to ask the couple their first question" we just came and the questions have started already? Seems this was planned by Thane himself. "How does it feel taking care of Mrs Diana, you do remember she is blind" Thane clenched his fist like he was angry at this question while I tried to hold back my laugh. "It's actually not as hard as you think. My wife is very loving and not at all needy so taking care of her is just like a walk in the park" "Honey I need water" let's see how easy it is taking care of a blind person. He reached for the glass and just as it was close to my lips I stretched out my hand like I wanted to get it from him but accidentally spilled the water. The liquid poured on his suit pants and I saw his fist clenched slightly. "Are you hurt?" He quickly checked if I was hurt like the good husband he is. "I'm so sorry, I felt the water spill, I hope I didn't cause any trouble" tears gathered in my eyes while I reached my hand out aimlessly. "No darling it's alright" "No it's not" I tried to get up using my walking stick to hit his chin hard. He groaned in pain as delight sparkled in my eyes. "What was that?" I asked quickly like I didn't know what I had done. "It's nothing dear" "I'm causing trouble again" I burst into tears immediately. "No dear you aren't" this time his reply came through his gritted teeth and I decided that was enough for today. "Okay honey" I sighed like I was actually scared. "Good girl, sometimes she can be an hand full" Thane joked while they all laughed, some taking pictures. My hand clenched around the walking stick tighter, he was really good at this. "Can you two kiss please?" No doubt everyone wanted to see this. He brought his head closer, that mouth which he had used to do unholy things? No! "Honey where are you?" I raised my walking stick again and bashed his face. I was very sure I broke his nose. "Ahhh,what have I done. Thane!" I called out for my husband like a worried wife. "Oh my goodness, is this how they are in the bedroom?"someone asked as others murmured. "She is too shy outside, do not blame my wife senses for going bad" "It's true, she's trying to adjust" the man in charge of the event defended me. "Thank you, sorry that I'm causing too much trouble" I frowned while Thane pulled me closer. "It's alright" placing his hand on me, nothing but hate filled me. "Now the next question isn't complicated at all. When are you both planning to have a child"
