Samantha tried to recall. "I think it was Will's father. He recommended Will take your place instead, but—"
"Will refused," Joseph finished her sentence for her.
She nodded. Harold's illness came to mind, and she couldn't help reiterating what she had told Joseph earlier.
"Look, things in the Lynch family are getting messy. The united front is just for keeping up appearances. I'd be careful if I were you, seeing as you're the head of the family."
