Arthur raised his brows slightly, his tone tinged with helplessness as he said, "Mr. Blackwood, you'd better keep wearing it. It'll fend off plenty of unwanted attention from women. If you don't wear it, Mrs. Blackwood Senior will undoubtedly make a fuss again. Her health can't take the strain." Shirley couldn't help but think, "Does Benjamin even need a ring to keep women away? One glance from him is more than enough." With his disdain for women and his complete disregard for romance, there was no way he'd wear something like this. Isabelle was bound to be disappointed.
