Noel looked at her pale cheeks which were now flushed with embarrassment. Her lashes fluttered delicately. The subtle sweetness of her unique scent filled the space between them, stirring something deep within him. He forced himself to hold back. "Didn't you say I called Damian over to take care of you?" "It wasn't you," Whitney said, her expression resolute. "If not me, then who? Do you think Damian just showed up out of nowhere?" Noel smiled scornfully.
