CHAPTER 89: IT'S A TRAP
Although Drakon said it didn't matter that the magic wasn't taken away, Shirley knew he was hiding his fears. If the pack knew she had magic, there would be agitations. Several factions were in the pack; some firmly believed witches and wolves were never supposed to mix.
That was where the problem was. Shirley had already shown them that she could heal. Though most believed that the moon goddess had blessed her with her healing touch—almost like how wolves had regenerative abilities except that Shirley worked on others—they soon discovered that she had other skills.
A wolf pack had already figured out that she was the cause of a plague. How long would it take for others to figure out the same and hunt for her? Even if Drakon's pack didn't threaten her, she would become a bull's eye, bringing in invaders from both the witch and the wolf folds who wanted to capture and harness her powers.
