The question Sarah’s mom put forth and the encounter with Eric weighed heavy on Sarah for days after her Dad’s hospitalization. Mr. Stone had suffered a minor stroke which didn’t cause any serious permanent damage, he only had slight issues with his balance and speech which got better over the course of his hospital stay. He was there for a little over a week and Zane came over on Friday before his discharge for the whole day. While Zane had a way of talking his way into making any and every situation favorable, Sarah couldn’t help but compare him with Eric, particularly as to how they behaved with her family and how her family responded to each of them. While everyone was having fun with Zane and he had the entire room in laughs, even the nurses loved him and Sarah couldn’t help but smile at that, but she knew that her family didn’t hold the same liking for him that they held for Eric.
