" The car is ready ma'am! " Ben yelled from downstairs and the sound floated freely across the hallway to her because the house was silent so his voice echoed. She took a deep breath, getting ready mentally to shout back. " I'm coming please! " She yelled back. Quickly, she arranged her disarrayed hair and ran some lipgloss over her lips before going out. She prayed the light headache would subside before she got to the hospital. Ben opened the car door for her and she sent him a grateful smile before sliding in. She closed her eyes and concentrated on trying to keep herself from vomiting more than she already had. Ben glanced at her from the rearview mirror a few times, wondering what happened to her.
