Taking Over The Alpha Role

(Author's POV) Anna felt insulted by Kyle's words. This was something she had wished to do on her own and yet Kyle had ruined her moment. She never wished the company to be handed to her by the enemy, she wished to fight for it. His actions had made her look weak as if she had somehow secretly colluded with him “I never asked for this gift, Mr Kyle. From next time onwards, let me handle my affairs,” she tried to inform him as respectfully as possible. Kyle just sardonically smiled and brushed her suggestion off. “It was just a nice gesture for you, and it's not like that. It's the end of the road.” He winked while getting up from the table, hinting that they would be meeting again in the future. Anna watched him leave with an ominous feeling settling in her stomach. Shoving it down she got herself busy with all the paperwork and taking control of the company. Ruby walked over to her as Anna sat going through the tons of paperwork. Her deeply annoying voice filtered through Anna’s ears.
