Benedict reached out and grabbed the woman's delicate wrist, his gaze acquiring a hint of coldness. Anger flashed on his icy, handsome face. "Cordelia, you better know what you're doing!"
Cordelia, startled by his shout, looked dumbfounded. Her bright, innocent eyes resembled a startled fawn, conveying an air of innocence and vulnerability.
Benedict furrowed his brow. "You come back and go on a drinking spree, even sleeping in my bed. Do you think you can act recklessly?"
"Why are you so harsh? I'll give you back the bed. Is that not enough?"
The woman's voice was soft like feathers gently tickling one's heart.
Cordelia, like a newborn kitten, walked unsteadily, nearly falling off the bed with a careless step.
