"Wait!" I heard the woman shout behind me, but I didn't stop and continued running away from them. I don't know why my first reaction was to run. I was just frightened, because it is also my first time to see a living being other than the animals scattered across the forest. As I was running, I could feel other people chasing me and surrounding me on all sides. My heart drummed inside my chest, and I panicked. I wasn't able to think clearly and just let my body do everything. I don't even know where my legs were taking me. As if they have a mind of their own.
