There was a saying that spread famously for generations in Walden College: He who has power and wealth runs businesses; he who has rich, powerful connections conquers them all.
The students at Walden College had been educated about the importance of reputation and having the right one. The right reputation begot the right connections the minute they understood the first word.
Thus, everyone on campus knew what was best for them and set their priorities well: attain a good reputation, find a spouse of a good reputation, and graduate.
