Claude smiled warmly, "Yes, it's me again. I was passing by, so I thought I'd drop in to say hi." He came closer and noted her painting. "A sea view, this time. Hmmm… interesting."
Delighted to have someone who appreciated art as much as she did reviewing her work, Maria asked, her voice clearly showing her enthusiasm, "What do you think?"
Claude rubbed his chin as he stepped closer to the artwork. He then took a step back. "I think your brushstrokes are excellent. But…"
Maria's face fell. "But?"
Claude stared into her eyes. "Is the sea always blue?" He watched with amusement as the red-haired temptress returned her focus to the painting, squinting her eyes in deep thought.
He chuckled, "I'm just saying. You don't have to take it seriously."
Maria turned back to him and gave a sad smile.
