CHAPTER 41: THE BATTLE FOR LUNA
EMILIA’S POV
They employed their speed, power, and wolves, but I wasn't going to let them prevail. I was unable to. It was my responsibility to show them—and myself—that I was more than the girl they had turned away. I used every ounce of strength and strategy Cameron had taught me to fight.
It was also functioning. I defeated each opponent one at a time, slowly but steadily. They underestimated me, even though they were stronger and faster. I ducked, sidestepped, and countered with everything I had each time they came at me. Even if I didn't have a wolf, I did have one thing: a relentless will.
They dropped, one by one.
As the final woman I encountered collapsed to the ground, exhausted and defeated, I could hear the cries of incredulity reverberating through the audience. I stood there, chest hammering, blood pounding in my veins, triumphant, while she scowled at me, her wolf roaring in frustration.
