Hudson brought me to Ophelia's villa. "Mr. Parker, your room is on the first floor. You'll be staying here from now on. If you need anything, you can reach out to me or Victor Langford." He left after giving those instructions. The villa was unusually quiet at this hour, and there was no one around, including the household staff. Since I was already here, I decided to settle down. I unpacked and then went to bed. The night elapsed in peace. The next morning, I was woken up by a maid named Theressa Blackwood, calling me to breakfast. "Hurry up and eat. Ms. Smith will be heading to work soon. The car's in the garage. The driver usually uses that car to drive her to work, so you can just wait for her outside." I quickly got up and ate breakfast before driving the car to the front gate to wait for Ophelia. She soon appeared at the door. When she saw me, she gave me a cold glance before walking to the car. I opened the door for her, and she got in. The ride was silent. She gazed
