Chapter 146: She Doesn't Save People For Money.
Lounging back, Stacey asked, "You reckon regular folks would still wanna adopt you if they knew about the heap of problems you got trailing?"
Little Koi Fish dropped her head down.
Seeing her downcast look, Stacey gave a soft smile, "So you don't really want to go back to your mom, huh?"
After a pause, Little Koi Fish said, "No, I don't."
Going back would mean getting dumped again, something she didn't want anymore.
With a cheeky grin, Stacey touched Little Koi Fish's face, "Well then, how about you be my daughter?"
Little Koi Fish was shocked.
Stacey narrowed her eyes, "Do you think I'm ugly?"
Quickly shaking her head, Little Koi Fish replied, "Auntie, you know…"
"Kids who worry too much don't grow," Stacey teased, pinching her cheek, "Just be a happy kid while with me, okay?"
Putting down her fork, Little Koi Fish wrapped her arms around Stacey's waist and started crying.
Stacey gently patted her head, "There, there. No more crying. You got a home now and siblings, too."
