Chapter 377: Nostalgia Bait
Celine
Agatha’s eyes filled with sadness as she took a tentative step forward.
“Celine, please... I’m not your enemy. I just want to help you—”
“Help?” Celine let out a bitter laugh, the sound harsh and cold. “You want to help me? Then leave. Leave and never come back. I don’t need your pity, Agatha. I don’t need your sympathy. You’ve always been like this, constantly reminding me that you're somehow better than me. And, for the record, I didn’t ask you to save my life."
Celine's voice dripped with venom as she continued, “You could have wallowed in your own self-pity, but no, you couldn't bear it, could you?” Celine laughed bitterly, even as her own words stung deep inside. Of course she had wanted to live. But she would never beg Agatha.
“You could have left me for dead. You could’ve done it, Agatha. Could you have stomached watching me die? All the blood, the horror? No. Of course, you wouldn’t. You’re too weak. Pathetic and weak. A woman who can’t even make decisions for hers
