Chapter 612

In the darkness of night, Madison uttered a single word, "Begone!" The bronze sword darted out of Madison's hand and into the darkness, trailing a cold, silvery-white light. With her hand now free, Madison formed hand seals with both her hands with even greater speed than before. "Break!" A violent sound of something collapsing rang out through the dense darkness. The surrounding negative energy immediately dissipated alongside that sound, and mist that looked vaguely like human figures could be seen dispersing into the air. The bronze sword flew back into Madison's hand like a shooting star. She held it in one hand, and with a flick, it reverted to the size of her thumb. In that same instant, Madison's hair and skirt settled back into position. The leaves that had been swirling in the air drifted back down to the ground as well. She hung the bronze sword around her neck, then turned to look at both sides of the entrance. The darkness slowly dissipated while the light from the
