The selection process consisted of three parts. The first part was a theory-based exam. All the students would have to take a common exam with extremely high requirements. Only the students ranking in the top 20 places and those who scored 95 marks and above were eligible to take part in the next round of examinations. The total score on the exam was a hundred marks.
