The ride home was nothing but awkward, but it’s even more awkward when Carlos meets us with a happy face, only for that expression to fall when he sees Sahari. “What do we have here?” he mumbles. “It’s a long story,” Kiernan says, glancing at me momentarily and taking a deep breath. “I will tell you later. Right now, we really need to rest.” Achilles signs something to him, and Carlos nods, disappearing. Sahari sticks close to me and says, “He says that the grumpy man should prepare a room for me.” “That’s good,” is the only thing I manage to say. She smiles at me, opening her mouth to say something more but then Achilles turns to me and signs something I don’t really understand, but I guess boils down to him inviting me back to his room to rest. I would have never questioned it if this was before, but now I’m unsure. I don’t know if I should go with him, considering that we don’t understand each other now. What are we going to do? What is he going to say? Will he tell
