Chapter 11 Seduction

Angelica looked at Tia, who stood before her, seemingly all fine. She was too surprised to speak. Tia coldly snorted. “I should thank you, my dear sister. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t be here today.” “You’re not here to seduce Aaron, are you?!” Angelica exclaimed in astonishment, her mouth wide open. “My goodness! You should at least take a look in the mirror. Do you think Aaron would spare you a second glance with that ugly face of yours?!” Tia had always been a remarkably beautiful girl since she was a child. Although five years of prison life had added a touch of weariness to her lovely face, her outstanding features were still impossible to conceal. “Angelica, I’m not as bored as you think I am. Do you believe everyone is as materialistic as you?” Tia responded disdainfully. “Haven’t you already been having an affair with Vick for a long time? And now you’re trying to get on Aaron Caius’ good side? “That deceitful and cunning Vick must’ve dumped you after playing around with you, right?” Tia taunted. Angelica became indignant when Tia mentioned her sore point. “Tia Celeste! How dare you disrespect me like this?! Do you think you’re still the Celeste family’s heiress? You’re nothing more than a convicted commoner now!” Angelica shouted while grabbing her neck. “You even killed your own teacher. You’re nothing but trash despised by the world!” This remark completely enraged Tia. “You should know better than I do who actually killed Mr. Sterling!” Memories of her mentor’s gruesome death overwhelmed her. “If it was you who did it, I’ll make sure you go to hell with me!” Angelica shrank back, her eyes avoiding Tia’s gaze. “No... That has nothing to do with me at all!” “Who’s the murderer, then?” Tia pressed on, her eyes fixed firmly on Angelica. Back then, Vick had secretly conspired with Angelica. He promised that once they ruined Tia, the entire Celeste family's fortune would be theirs. But unexpectedly, Vick turned out to be nothing but a shameless scoundrel. He immediately kicked Angelica aside after their ploy! Fortunately for Angelica, she had encountered Aaron. “How… How should I know…” Angelica looked incredibly guilty. “It was obviously you who killed him!” Tia naturally knew that Angelica was nothing more than a fool, and the mastermind behind it all was Vick. She realized she had been completely deceived by Vick, who had pretended to be a gentleman for so long! “It’s Vick, isn’t it?!” Tia’s eyes revealed a strong desire for vengeance. Angelica hesitated for a moment. She was about to say something, but Janelle had already entered the kitchen. “Oh my! Tia, what are you doing? Why haven’t you given Mr. Aaron his refreshment after so long?” Janelle entered the kitchen in a fit of anger, her gaze suspicious as she glanced at both Tia and Angelica. “What’s going on?” “Is this the villa’s new maid?” Angelica asked Janelle. “Yes, Ms. Angelica,” Janelle said to Angelica respectfully. “Mr. Aaron personally brought her back.” “Aaron must be insane. Why would he bring such a crazy woman back?!” Angelica was thoroughly disgusted by Tia’s presence. Aaron said he would arrange for her to die in prison, so why was she standing here perfectly fine? Why was she being disrespectful to her?! Janelle also looked down on this so-called Ms. Angelica, so she ignored her questioning. She merely won Aaron’s favor with her face, yet she actually started acting like the lady of the house. She was very arrogant toward all the staff. “My apologies, Ms. Angelica. This is Mr. Aaron’s private matter. We, as staff, don't have the right to inquire, and that includes you.” Angelica did not expect a lowly maid like Janelle to defy her, especially in front of the detested Tia. “In no time, I'll marry Mr. Aaron, and I'll be the lady of this villa! Don’t you know how to show respect to the hostess?!” Janelle shrugged her shoulders, completely unfazed by Angelica’s words. She did not even consider her own status and was having delusions of marrying into the Caius family. Everyone knew that since the previous head of the Celeste family, Guthrie, died, the family had become fragmented. There were a bunch of clowns who vied for power, causing them to be seen as a laughingstock. Angelica and her mother did not gain any benefits from this power struggle and were even kicked out of the family. It was evident Angelica was nothing more than an empty-headed ornament. Now, she arrogantly believed she had gotten Aaron Caius in her grasp, which was utterly disgusting. “The Caius family’s daughter-in-law isn’t a position just anyone can get.” Janelle shot Angelica a meaningful look before turning to Tia. “Mr. Aaron has been waiting for a long time. Please hurry up.” Tia knew it was not the time to question the identity of the murderer, so she withdrew her gaze and prepared the tea. At the moment, Aaron was sprawled on the sofa with a flush on his face from the alcohol. He was muttering incoherently. Tia looked at the man on the sofa with some disdain. She had just put down the tea and was about to leave when she heard Aaron call out twice. In his hazy state, Aaron smelled a familiar scent. When he saw the person next to him, he instinctively reached out to pull her closer. “What?” Tia turned around and was pulled over by a strong force before she could react. Stumbling, she fell onto Aaron’s body. The two of them were extremely close. The cool woody fragrance mixed with the strong smell of alcohol assaulted Tia’s nostrils all at once. “What are you doing?!” Tia pushed Aaron forcefully. “You act like this every time you’re drunk! Have you gone crazy from the alcohol?” Aaron could hear the person in front of him shout in frustration, but his mind was filled with the scent that he had been longing for day and night. Disregarding the struggling person in his arms, he tightly embraced her. When Angelica came out, she happened to witness this questioning scene. “Tia!” Angelica quickly stepped forward, grabbing Tia’s wrist. “And you said you weren’t trying to seduce Aaron! How shameless!” Taking advantage of Aaron’s unsteady hold, Tia broke free from his embrace and stood up. “This jerk is the one going crazy from the alcohol!” “I can see through your plan! You've wanted to seduce Aaron from the very beginning! Do you think you can soar back in status by doing this?!”
