Desiree. “Mom!” She smiled, running happily to my side. “Oh, my little one,” I endearingly toned as I lifted the three-year-old in the bright sky illuminating the garden of Maddox’s manor. She giggled while I grinned as we twirled. Her smile was a perfect mirror to mine and her green eyes beaming with so much life as her white hair danced to the tunes of the winds. She was beautiful, my daughter was beautiful. “Are you two going to have all the fun without me?!” Maddox chirped as he came to join us, grinning sheepishly. “Daddy!” Our daughter blared trying to reach out for her father while Maddox eagerly spread his arms before he took her off my arms. She giggled while he softly teased her nose. My smile deepened, admiring how perfect they looked together and I was almost tempted to paint this beautiful image of them. My eyes gradually opened to Maddox’s back facing me on my bed. The dim lights coming from my curtains were more than enough to let me know that the morning had dawned
