"Rise and shine.." I heard an unfamiliar voice in my sleep.

"Shiela are you still sleeping?" The voice became familiar.. Lincoln! What's he doing here?

I opened my eyes, found myself in the new environment, the new room..

"Ohh" I sighed, remembering this is my new home.

I stretched my hands and got off the comfy bed.

"Shiela!" He called my name again.

"How was your night? No bad dream? No crying? I hope you are fine" He asked me.. Awwn he's so Caring.

"So what are you up to today?"

Duh who does he think he is..

Shiela's POV

Everyone was outside expecting my arrival as announced by the Alpha King.

"Majority of us know the the god of nature ancestry. They are part of the ancestry that visits us once in a blue moon" the Alpha king spoke.

"They were killed mercilessly very early this morning. I pray the moon goddess keeps and protect their soul"

"Their only living daughter have come to live with us"

"Shiela" He called out my name.

Why is that whenever I tell someone my story or whether they ask, it makes me cry but I tried to control myself this time around..

"You can do this Shiela" Lincoln urged me and I nodded and stood up from where I was, so that everyone could see me.

"You've just joined our cast, you are mostly welcome"

"Thank you for accepting me" I said.

"I know everyone aren't here but tell a friend to tell another about her presence, she's not an intruder! No one should attack her!" The Alpha king declared.

"You all may now go your way, Sweet night rest" And with that, he exit.

I felt peace, probably because I feel like I'm in save hands here. But who ever killed my family will never go unpunished..

Everyone made their way to their various rooms..

Just then, my eyes met that of the next Alpha king, Ashley or what ever he is called.

"Should we call it a night night?" Lincoln drew my attention back to him.

"Yeah, good night" I told him.

"Do you feel sleepy by the way or you just want me to leave? I can cheer you up if you are still feeling so despondent" He said and I smiled

He is such a lovely friend.. I wanted to speak when, Ashley walked towards us.

"Ashley" Lincoln called his name.

"Ashley thanks for today" I appreciated him.

"Shiela, I would like to speak with you for some minute" He said and left us to wait few metres away from where we stood.

"Yeah let's call it a night Lincoln. See you tomorrow" I told him, left him alone to meet with Ashley.

"Hey" I said to Ashley.

"Have you found your mate?" He asked me straight and direct.

"Urrh Yeah" I stammered.

Goodness how did I do this? Where did I get the guts from? He was about to reject me but I could fight for myself.. Besides why is he acting all jealous?

I met his slut on the way... I greeted her like the coolest girl ever, she replied sheepishly and went to meet Ashley.

I hid in a corner to overhear their discussion.

"Is she the one?" She asked Ashley.

"Yeah"

"Oh I see" She said..but He didn't say anything..

"But what is wrong with you? Did she reject you?"

"I can't say I just got rejected" He said.

"You don't have to worry. I'm still here for you, anytime" She said placing her hand on my chest.

"Athena!" He shouted and she took her hand off him.

Duh..

He left her there without saying a words.. I ran away quickly before he would notice my presence.
