CHAPTER 280: MAYA IS NO MORE
"Stay with me, Maya," Juliet whispered urgently, tears falling onto Maya's pale face. "You're going to be okay. Help is coming."
Maya'sshallow and labored. "Juliet..." she murmured, her voice barely audible.
"Don't talk, Maya. Just save your strength," Juliet urged, her hands pressing against the blood-soaked fabric of Maya's clothes, trying to staunch the bleeding.
Paramedics arrived swiftly, pushing through the crowd to assess Maya's condition. They carefully placed her on a stretcher, securing her neck with a brace before loading her into the ambulance. Juliet clung to Maya's hand, refusing to let go as they rushed to the hospital.
"I'm so sorry, Maya," Juliet whispered, tears streaming down her cheeks. "I should have seen it coming. I should have protected you."
"It's... not your fault," Maya managed to say weakly, her eyes closing again as she fought to stay conscious.
At the hospital, doctors and nurses rushed Maya into surgery, working tirelessly to stabilize her condition
