Gary immediately recognized the wine served to Xina. It was Château Lafite, a distinguished red wine, and one of the most expensive on the market. The cost of the wine and the accompanying dish served to Xina had already surpassed the total cost of their entire meal. Both items alone were more extravagant than this whole luncheon. How on earth could she afford such luxury? It wasn’t just Gary who noticed the exorbitant price of the food and drink served to Xina—Canan did too. His eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets when the server approached with the bottle of wine intended for her. "Who told you to order that?! I’m not paying for it!" Canan stood abruptly, his voice laced with panic. He knew he’d be in serious trouble if he had to cover Xina’s bill. But the young server remained calm, seemingly unfazed by Canan's outburst. She appeared to be entirely in control of the situation. "You have no reason to worry, sir," the server assured, taking out a small note from her pocket.
