Chapter 129: A DESIRE AWAKENED

"Gary," Edward's voice echoed through the car as he relayed every detail of the situation to his king. The shifter had thoroughly checked the entire building and surrounding areas but found nothing out of the ordinary. Yet, the scent he had detected earlier still lingered in his mind, making him second- guess his instincts. "Yes, My King?" Edward responded, sensing the tension that hung heavily inside the car. "I want you to report everything to me from now on," Gary ordered, his tone sharp. "Everything." Edward winced slightly at the weight of the command. He realized that he should not have taken this matter lightly. "Yes, My King." Gary's concerns about the vampires weren't simply territorial disputes, as others might perceive. For him, it went much deeper. The mere existence of vampires was a blight that gnawed at his soul. He harbored an all-consuming desire to eradicate them all, to rid the world of their presence entirely. Only then could he find some semblance of peace. T
