Chapter 102: THE RELIC

Xina’s face lit up as she recognized the familiar faces around her. For once, in this intimidating environment, she felt a sense of comfort. Smiling brightly, she grinned widely when they greeted her in return. The two guards were always assigned to her whenever she was in this realm, just like Gillian was in her previous one. Their presence grounded her in the strange world she now inhabited. “Hi! How have you been?!” Xina exclaimed, visibly excited to see them. Archer, however, didn’t seem as pleased. He glanced sideways at her, his lips curving into a sulky pout. “You didn’t even greet me that way,” he muttered, but Xina simply ignored his childish complaint. She was dressed in a striking red equestrian suit, adorned with simple yet elegant accessories. Jade had done her hair meticulously, pinning it up with delicate hairpins. It wasn’t too extravagant, but it certainly wasn’t plain either. Xina felt regal, yet the first thing she wanted was for Gary to see her in this ensemble.
