After the dinner, Michael drove her back to her home and kissed her goodnight at her doorstep before he took his leave. Two days after their visit to her mother, they visited his mother. The journey was long and tiring as he d, however, this time Michael didn t miss his way and they were able to get there early. His mother was surprised to see him and so was his sister. Michael apologized for having left rather suddenly that day and his mother amidst tears told him she wasn t angry and that she even deserved a far worse treatment. He introduced Mitchell to them, if only they have phoned it wouldn t be news to them since it was already news that they were engaged to be married soon, but in this remote village where his mother has carved a niche for herself, it would be hard for her to know what s going on in the outside world.
