Chapter 79: Daniel’s Rage

  Wendy knew her son's capabilities and what he and his brothers were willing to do to protect their family.   She could only imagine the unholy vengeance they would unleash on Anya's attackers.   A small part of her recoiled at the thought, the deeply religious woman abhorring violence and vengeance in all its forms.   And yet... She remembered her daughter-in-law's prevailing kindness, her generous spirit, and her loving heart.   She felt those who did this deserved it. Anya deserved to have those who had done this to her pay for their crimes in the most extreme way.   "They'll make them suffer for what they've done to you," Wendy vowed, giving Anya's hand a gentle squeeze.   She settled back in the chair, her delicate features hardening into a mask of steely resolution.   Protection. Provision. Brutal retribution when the family needed to be avenged. This was her family’s way.   She stroked Anya's cool cheek with the back of her hand, feeling the whirring of the mac
