Chapter 136: Power

Daniel rolled down his window and looked at the officers that were walking forward. He suddenly was filled with a bad feeling.   “You broke several traffic violations there. You can’t be speeding on this road. Please park to the side,” the office said.   “Officer, how about you write me a ticket and I can be on my way? I have something on,” Daniel hoped to get this matter quickly handled.   But the officers seemed adamant to keep him there. They started checking his documents and his car for violations as slowly as possible.   “I can’t do this right now; I need to get going.” Daniel insisted.   “Not after finishing this. I need to check your alcohol levels,” the officer said.   This tense back-and-forth continued this way and dragged on far longer than typical for a traffic patrol stop.   Every delay made Daniel almost go off in rage.
