Chapter 42 : Indebted

*Henry* Henry stood leaning over the desk, feeling his anxiety and frustration build like a tumor through his shoulders. With one hand he brushed his hair off his face fruitlessly before dropping his hand back on the table. He had stared at these papers in front of him for so long that he had them practically memorized. Yet, he still struggled with a more permanent solution to keep Alpha Keith at bay. Thinking of Alpha Keith and the reason behind all he was doing brought up a familiar rage inside of him. It swirled around in his stomach like sharp little knives everywhere. How could it have come to this? He married Mae; it had all worked out. Why was he still fighting to ensure there wouldn't be a war? Henry paused and took a deep breath, forcing the rage back into the quiet, little box he kept inside. It wouldn't be helpful to him now and he couldn't let it control his thinking. He couldn't let Mae see how furious he was with her father, he wouldn't bring her that
