Chapter 31 : The Pull of Magic

*Mae* Mae sat quietly on Henry's window sill, staring out at the stars and the brilliant bright moon. Something in the glow of it gave her strength. She felt almost as if the Moon Goddess was smiling down on her. She took a deep breath and tried to remind herself how strong she had become. "Are you alright?" Henry asked, closing the door behind him as he walked into the room from the adjoining bathroom. Mae turned to look at him, and instinctively her jaw fell open. She couldn't help but ogle Henry in his current state. He walked toward her with a towel loosely wrapped around him while using another to dry his damp hair. "Okay, you're staring at me awfully weird. Did I do something wrong?" Mae giggled to herself. "No, just the opposite. Sometimes it's hard to take my eyes off of you," she admitted.
