Gideon nodded before he finally spoke.
“I thought that you would hate her, so I didn’t expect that you’d help her. Aren’t you jealous?”
“Jealous of who? Stephanie Garrett?”
Gideon nodded seriously.
Nell could not help but laugh.
“Why? Because she deliberately got close to you during lunch?”
Gideon frowned.
His frown deepened at her flippant attitude.
Nell burst out in laughter.
“Come on. I’m not even jealous of the fact that she was your ex-girlfriend, so why would I get jealous over a meal? Wouldn’t I have to live in jealousy every day in the future if it’s like that?”
Nell was exceptionally open-minded and could see the large picture of a lot of matters.
She could clearly see what was hers and what was not, as well as what was true and what was false.
She never made herself unhappy over meaningless things.
Yet although she was happy, Gideon was not.
