It was moving so fast and my body was quivering with fear. I held my Davion as I looked frantically at the cabin...
How do I escape? How do I get out of here?!
The beast was getting closer, its snarls echoing through the night. My mind raced. I couldn’t let it reach us. I had to protect my son at all costs.
With no other option, I threw the door open and bolted out, running as fast as I could.
The cold night air hit my face, but I didn’t stop. I heard the beast crash through the cabin behind me, its roars filled with rage.
The sound of splintering wood and its guttural growls spurred me on.
My legs burned, and the weight of Davion in my arms made it harder to run. Tears streamed down my face as I pushed myself to go faster.
My heart pounded wildly and the fear within me soared to higher heights. I couldn’t let my son die. I wouldn’t.
Suddenly, my foot caught on a stone, and I fell hard to the ground, Davion tumbling from my arms.
