CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY-NINE HUNTERS IN LOVE
DAPHNE'S POV
As the early morning sun peeked over the horizon, Javion and I set out for our hunting trip. The air was crisp, and the forest was alive with the sounds of rustling leaves and chirping birds.
I was excited but also a bit nervous; hunting was new to me, and I didn’t want to embarrass myself in front of Javion.
Javion, always the picture of confidence, flashed me a reassuring grin. “Ready for your first hunting lesson?” he asked, his eyes twinkling with mischief.
I gave him a playful nudge. “Ready as I’ll ever be. Just promise not to laugh too hard if I end up chasing after a squirrel instead of a wild boar.”
Javion chuckled. “Oh, don’t worry. I’m sure you’ll do great. Besides, I’m more interested in seeing how you handle yourself in the wild.”
We moved quietly through the forest, our steps careful and deliberate. Javion led the way, occasionally stopping to check the ground for signs of boars. I followed, trying to mimic his movements, though I’m sure I looked more li
