I massaged my fist, rubbing the sore spot on my knuckles.
I went ballistic easily nowadays.
I hated delayed projects. I hated it when work moved at a slow pace.
I didn't have that much patience to follow the course of the tides.
I needed action. I needed results.
And they had to be on time.
"What exactly is going on?" I demanded from the manager. "Haven't you been able to secure an appointment yet?"
"We're sorry, sir. We're doing our best, but the land owner is firm on not conceding to our proposition. In fact, he wants no association with us."
My frown deepened at that. "What's that? He wants no association with us? Is he holding a grudge with us?"
"I would think he's wary because of that incident months ago."
I arched one eyebrow. "What incident?" I demanded, my voice laced with scorn.
"You know, Sir," the manager said, rubbing nervously at the back of his head.
