"Where's your car?" I asked Trevor.
"I've ordered a cab. It will be here anytime," he answered, glancing at his wristwatch. "You should get in."
"You can have a ride with me," I offered.
He shook his head. "No, I have to stop by somewhere first. You should head home. Give me a call when you reach home."
"Is there something you're not telling me?" I asked, suspicious.
He shrugged. "There's nothing. Besides, we will be meeting each other soon with our families."
I narrowed my gaze. "When is that?"
"Your Grandpa didn't tell you?"
"About what?"
"My family is hosting a get-together. I don't know the full details yet."
I nodded, clucking. "Okay."
"You're coming?"
"Should I not?" I squeezed my mouth. "You could find an excuse for me."
He watched me silently, and I laughed jokingly.
"I was only kidding. Of course, I would come. Not that I have much choice, though."
"Your Grandpa would buy your acquiescence with Holden Group again, right?" He teased, laughing.
