"I didn't know you were an advocate for maltreated kids," I remarked as we entered our suite.
Trevor was quiet throughout the elevator ride, his posture stiff.
"Hey." I tapped him on the arm.
He turned to look at me. "I overreacted out there, didn't I?"
"It was for a good cause, Trevor," I told him.
He nodded, removing his loafers and slipping into his indoor slippers.
Our indoor slippers were placed side by side near the entrance to the suite.
Mine looked diminutive next to his.
I took off my shoes and slipped into mine, following him into the sitting room.
Trevor went to get a bottle of water from the fridge, pouring himself a drink, while I plopped down on the sofa in the sitting room.
It had been a very long day.
My body was still enduring the aftereffects of the fun I had today.
I was both exhilarated and fatigued by all the activities we had gone through.
"You care for some?"
