Chapter Thirty Two: His Assigned Mission

"Hello, Trevor." Chairman Holden beamed at me as I approached him, led by one of his staff.
He was sitting in an outdoor space, his dog at his feet, wagging its tail.
I halted as the male staff member who led me there bowed politely to the Chairman and me and left us alone.
The land stretching beyond was verdant and spacious, with a flooring of low-mown green grass.
The air around us was soothing against the skin, and the scenery was great.
It was no wonder he chose this place as a relaxing spot.
"Come on, son. He doesn't bite." Chairman Holden gestured for me to come over, referring to his dog.
I moved closer to him. "I'm not afraid of canines. I doubt he's been given an update on my coming here."
Chairman Holden laughed at my words. "He has." He motioned for me to sit with him.
"Thanks, Chairman. Good morning," I said as I took a seat in the chair placed next to his.
The chair dipped beneath my weight as I sat.
