Yanny was now traumatized whenever it snowed. It was because of him. Shayne returned to the bedroom and snuggled into the sheets. Slightly awake, Yanny snuggled next to him and mumbled, “Get some sleep. It’s bad for your health to always stay up this late.” Shayne was the type of person who could work well even with a few hours of sleep. It did not matter if he stayed up late or not. He leaned in and planted a kiss on the top of her head. With a hoarse and deep voice, he said, “I am back alive, Yanny. The snowstorm did not kill me. I am even grateful for the snowstorm, as it brought you back to me.” Yanny was wide awake now. Her back stiffened. She turned and looked at Shayne under the faint lights. “Did grandma tell you?” “It’s snowing. If you’re scared, come and hug me close. I won’t ever leave your side again.” His voice was firm yet comforting, giving one a sense of security. There was nothing more soothing than to be able to feel his warmth and heartbeat next to he
