I can’t hear anything!

Dimly I looked around,Candice bent before me and she seemed to be saying something but I couldn’t hear her. I saw Megan stand beside the woman and slung her a smile. Are they talking? They seem to be moving their lips. Why can’t I hear them? The woman moved closer to me. Megan pushed Candice away from me. I tried to move away from her.
