Hensey Van Kirk sat in his dark home office and read through the latest financial reports with a disappointed heart. He looked at the numbers, which were hard and brutal. They showed how much money he had lost over the past few weeks. As he tracked the downward trend, his usually confident attitude became unstable. Each dip was a blow to the legacy he had built. He felt Damien's shadow in every part of his life, even in his business activities, which were supposed to be private. No choice could be made without Damien getting in the way, and his evil influence seemed to be everywhere in Hensey's life. The weight of what his twin did fell on him and threatened to destroy the foundations of his empire. Hensey got up from his desk with a heavy sigh and pushed himself away.
