Ruby's words made Natalie very ashamed. She sat on the sofa with pins and needles. Marian could see her sister's heart at a glance. She was a weak person who could only swallow her anger, molded this way by her own family. With her hands in her pockets, her cold eyes fell on Ruby. They were plain and nonchalant, but there was no mistaking the hidden rage underneath them. Her tone had contempt, but she said calmly, "What if you were kicked out of the family? Don't you forget, Ruby, even if anyone of us gets kicked out we will always be a family. We share the same blood, we came out of the same womb. Besides, the Su family welcomed me back, what makes Natalie any different?" Natalie was kicked out of the Su family because of a man, she never came back out of shame.
