An hour later, Dashiell entered the CEO’s office at Northstar.
Elodie sat across the table, a sleek panther in a black dress, her eyes narrowed on him like a laser.
Even across the distance, he could feel the heat of her scrutiny.

The meeting was supposed to happen three days ago, but Dashiell kept pushing it back on account of his bruises and he refused to let his COO do it.
